TCU Head Coach, Jeff Mittie
Opening Statement:
“I think Georgia is very deserving of its ranking. They are an excellent basketball team. Their size gave us fits all night. Their physicality on the perimeter and on the inside also gave us fits all night. I thought our group really competed in the second half once we were able to take care of the basketball.”

On the second half:
“I thought it was better. We just can’t have 14 turnovers in the first half. I never felt out of this game because our group was making some plays on both ends of the floor. You would like to have that middle stretch of the first half back, but our guards just were not handling the ball well.”

On Donielle Breaux’s play:
“I thought Donielle Breaux gave us a big lift. She is a threat to put it on the floor and a threat to shoot the three. As our group gets more comfortable playing together, I think you will see our offense really come around.”

On defensive presence tonight:
“I thought we made more plays defensively against a higher quality team like this. I thought our energy level was good. There is no doubt that LT is a huge eraser in the middle. I thought in the second half we were finishing those plays.”

On how TCU's size will match-up in the Big 12:
“We had trouble all night against the backside. That’s going to be a battle every night for us. The bigger line-up was successful at times though tonight. It is something we need to continue to get better at. Georgia is veteran team and you can tell when we cut it to seven they weren’t rattled. I was proud of our kids because when they made plays, we made plays to answer them.”

On the progress of the offense:
“The numbers show a step forward. Shooting percentage wise we were over 40 in the second half. That is better than we have been doing against lesser physical teams, so I do think tonight was a step forward for us. The keys is consistency. The offense is still a work in progress.”
