FORT WORTH, Texas - Senior Delisa Gross and junior Meagan Henson were named to the Academic All-Big 12 First Team, the conference office announced Tuesday afternoon.

Gross, a Waco native, is wrapping-up her final year in speech pathology, while Henson collected her first league honor as a movement science major.

A total of 26 student-athletes earned first team recognition, while nine individuals comprised the second team.

First team members consisted of those who have maintained a 3.20 or better GPA. To qualify, student-athletes must have maintained a 3.00 GPA or higher and must have participated in 60 percent of their team’s scheduled contests. Freshmen and transfers are not eligible in their first year of academic residence.

TCU will continue action Wednesday night against Kansas at Daniel-Meyer Coliseum. Tip-off is set for 7:00 p.m. and will mark the first meeting between the two conference foes this season.

The Horned Frogs bring a 7-15 overall record and 0-11 mark into Wednesday's tilt and will be wearing pink uniforms against the Jayhawks in honor of the WBCA's Pink Zone Day, which is an effort to raise awareness for the fight against breast cancer.
