Senior Meagan Henson earned a spot on her fourth all-academic team

FORT WORTH, Texas - TCU women's basketball student-athletes Meagan Henson and Zahna Medley recently earned Academic All-Big 12 Second Team honors for their efforts in the classroom.

To qualify, student-athletes must maintain a 3.00 GPA or higher either cumulative or the two previous semesters and must have participated in 60 percent of the their team's scheduled contests.

Henson, a senior movement science major, earned the Big 12 honor for the second-consecutive season while earning her fourth overall all-academic team achievement. The Yukon, Okla., native has competed in 78 career contests, including 15 games this season, and is shooting 81 percent (17-of-21) from the free-throw line.

Medley, a sophomore business major, earned her first all-academic team honor and is enjoying another stellar season on the hardwood, ranking sixth in the Big 12 in scoring (16.5 ppg) while connecting on the third-most 3-pointers (57) in the league.

The Horned Frogs return to action at 11 a.m., on Saturday when they play host to No. 5 Baylor at Daniel-Meyer Coliseum.
