TCU Announces Resignation of Mittie

Jeff Mittie

March 18, 2014

FORT WORTH, Texas -- TCU has announced the resignation of women's basketball head coach Jeff Mittie, who will become the head coach at Kansas State.

"We can't thank Jeff enough for the contributions he's made to TCU and our women's basketball program over the last 15 years," TCU director of intercollegiate athletics Chris Del Conte said. "This was not a decision about TCU. This was a decision for Jeff on being able to go home and be closer to family. We wish him the best.

"We will begin a national search immediately. With our $59 million renovation of Daniel-Meyer Coliseum underway and our membership in the Big 12 Conference, TCU is a phenomenal job. The future is bright for our women's basketball program."

TCU associate head coach Brian Ostermann will assume interim head coach duties as the Horned Frogs play at Colorado on Wednesday at 8 p.m. CDT in the opening round of the WNIT.
