GoFrogs.com recently caught up with center Micaela Younger as she prepares for her junior season with the Lady Frogs.

A native of Dover, Del., Younger averaged 2.6 points and 2.4 rebounds in 28 contests last season. Younger also started 12 games and ranked second on the team with 15 blocks.

GoFrogs.com: You used to live in Germany growing up, what do you remember most about your time there?
Micaela Younger: I mostly remember spending time at the military base where we lived. I remember that it was a very nice community and I enjoyed my stay there.

GF: You moved a lot growing up because your father, Kenneth, is in the military, where all have you lived?
MY: I lived in four places growing up: California, Germany, North Dakota and Delaware.

GF: What area of your game are you trying to improve most this summer?
MY: My finishing around the basket and my cardio, so that I can play longer periods.

GF: What was your favorite game last season?
MY: Florida (TCU won 83-72)

GF: Who is your favorite professional athlete?
MY: My brother (Kenny Younger). He plays professional basketball in France.

GF: If you could play any other collegiate sport, what would it be?
MY: Volleyball. The first time I ever played was in sixth grade and I loved it.

GF: What do you want to do after you're finished playing basketball?
MY: I'd like to own my own clothing company.

GF: You are an artist, what is your favorite type of art?
MY: I'd say painting. I haven't had time to paint since I've been at school and my favorite type of art is usually whatever I haven't done in a while.

GF: Where is your favorite place to play outside of Daniel-Meyer Coliseum?
MY: College Park, Md.
