FORT WORTH, Texas - TCU senior Delisa Gross sat down with GoFrogs.com this past week to talk about TCU women's basketball and how the team is getting along this summer.

Gross has been a three-year starter for the Horned Frogs and should be a key component to the Frogs success this season. A solid rebounder and scorer, the Waco product could be a major force for the Frogs in the Big 12 as her knack for making timely buckets in the middle of games will be huge. Gross once again was a key component in the Horned Frog attack during the 2011-12 season. She played in all 30 games, while making 18 starts. Gross opened the year, totaling 29 minutes against Georgia, scoring seven points. She scored a then season-high 13 points against NC State before closing the year dropping a season-best 18 points in a win at Boise State to close the year.

"This summer I've had more time to catch up with friends from back home, but I have been in the gym a lot. So far, the team has been doing really well in weights for the months of June and July. Getting stronger for us has been a priority this year. Our team has a motto this year and it is - RISE TOGETHER. Our goal is to become unified as a team and hopefully have everyone on the same page before the start of preseason.

Individually, I am focused on improving the arch on my shot and being more consistent because last year I hit a drought where I was struggling with shooting. I would say teammate wise that Whitney Williams has improved the most this summer in terms of getting faster and moving better on the court.

I am really excited with our freshmen class because all four of the girls are different and bring some unique characteristics to the team. Off the court, Kamy is more outgoing then the rest of them, which is great because she always brings a lot of energy. Veja, Caitlin and Zhana are more laid back, which is similar to my personality.

Going to the Big 12 is exciting because this conference has great talent and competition. I have played against a lot of those girls in high school and our team should measure up well as we start a new season."
