FORT WORTH, Texas - With the women's basketball season right around the corner, GoFrogs.com takes a closer look at freshman Carol Willie's potential impact on the TCU program.

Willie, a three-star rated recruit who ranked as the 18th-best post in the country by ESPN/HoopGurlz, was considered a top 225 recruit nationally. Following her senior season, she was named to the Texas Girls Coaches Association 5A all-state squad.

Willie ranked in the top-220 players in the country according to the JumpOffPlus National Scouting Report and is coming a season in which she led Cypress Falls High School to the final four of the state tournament. A multiple all-district selection and a 2012 second-team all-greater Houston honoree, Willie was named a 2012 Adidas All-American All-Star, while also earning top-50 accolades by VYPE Magazine.

The 6-foot-2 post player was also a finalist for Player of the Year by VYPE Magazine. She was selected second-team preseason all-area by the Houston Chronicle. Willie earned first team all-district honors in 2013, while averaging 9.5 points per game and 7.6 rebounds per contest during her high school career.
