TCU women's basketball Head Coach Jeff Mittie and the 2003-04 Lady Frogs will hold their annual media day event Friday, Oct. 31, in Daniel-Meyer Coliseum. The event will take place from 12:30 - 3 p.m. on the basketball court. Media members will have the opportunity to watch TCU practice and scrimmage from 12:30 - 2:30 while enjoying a boxed lunch. Players will then be available for questions and interviews at 2:30. Mittie will be available to the media at 3 p.m. in the Varsity Club Room, which is located on the concourse level of Daniel-Meyer.

TCU ended last season with a 20-14 record, marking its third 20-win season in a row. The Lady Frogs claimed the C-USA Tournament title by becoming the first team in league history to win the title playing on four consecutive days. It was the Purple and White's third conference title in as many years. In NCAA Tourney action, TCU advanced to the second round for the third-straight year, falling to eventual national champ UConn in Storrs, Conn. The Lady Frogs led the Huskies at the half, 35-33, becoming just the sixth team in the past five years to lead UConn at the intermission of a home game.

The Lady Frogs have not been bashful in accumulating preseason praise already. The favorites to win the conference as determined by the league's coaches are listed among numerous top-25 polls, including Basketball News (20th), Lindy's College Basketball (21st), Women's Basketball News Service (22nd) and Athlon Sports (22nd).

The Lady Frogs open their exhibition season Nov. 7 at 7 p.m. TCU has its second and final exhibition game Nov. 17 at 7 p.m. The team opens the regular season Nov. 21 with a home contest against Texas State at 7 p.m.

Anyone with special needs or requests (photo shoots, lengthy player interviews, etc.) should contact Matt Freed in TCU Athletics Media Relations at (817) 257-5377 prior to the day of the event.
