FORT WORTH, Texas - The TCU women's basketball team continues its six-game homestand by playing host to Abilene Christian at 7 p.m., on Wednesday at Daniel-Meyer Coliseum. The contest will be televised on FOX College Sports.

The Horned Frogs will look to extend their winning streak to three games after posting a 73-47 rout of Texas-Pan American on Sunday to improve to 6-3 overall this season.

Junior guard Natalie Ventress led TCU in scoring for the third-straight game with a season-best 18 points, while sophomore guard Zahna Medley and junior guard Donielle Breaux also scored in double figures with 11 points apiece.

Medley opened the contest with her 100th-career 3-pointer, becoming the second fastest in program history to hit the triple-digit milestone and just the 12th player overall to achieve the feat. Medley currently ranks sixth in the Big 12 in scoring (16.8 ppg) and second in 3-pointers made per game (2.6).

Senior center Latricia Lovings continued her stellar defensive play, posting five blocks to go with eight points and eight rebounds. Lovings currently leads the Big 12 and ranks fourth nationally with 3.9 blocks per game while recording the most rejections (144) in the country since the start of the 2012-13 season.

THE OPPONENT
Abilene Christian has won six of its opening nine contests and will face Texas Wesleyan on Tuesday night before Wednesday's contest with the Horned Frogs.

The Wildcats have generated plenty of offense in their six victories, averaging 80.1 points per game while shooting 44 percent from the field and connecting on 85 3-pointers (32 percent). Abilene Christian excels at ball movement with 17.3 assists per game while the defense has recorded 12.2 steals per contest and is forcing over 23 turnovers.

Four of five starters are averaging over 10 points for the Wildcats this season, led by senior guard Renata Marquez, who has posted 13.7 points and 8.0 rebounds while connecting on 21 3-pointers at a 38-percent rate. The Abilene Christian lineup features three freshmen, all averaging at least 9.8 points per contest.

THE SERIES
TCU and Abilene Christian will meet for the first time on the hardwood since 1982 after the two teams met nine times over a five-year period from 1977-82.

The Wildcats won the first six contests in the series before TCU claimed two of the last three victories during the 1981-82 season. Abilene Christian has won three of the five games played at Daniel-Meyer Coliseum.
