FORT WORTH, Texas - The TCU women's basketball team will look to claim its fourth-straight win when it plays host to Sam Houston State at 5 p.m., on Friday at Daniel-Meyer Coliseum. The Horned Frogs will play in their third contest over the last five days as part of a six-game homestand.

TCU dominated all phases of the game in Wednesday's 82-55 victory over Abilene Christian to improve to 7-3 overall this season and a perfect 6-0 at home.

Sophomore guard Veja Hamilton posted a game-high 18 points while recording new career highs in assists (six) and steals (five), while juniors Natalie Ventress and Donielle Breaux also scored in double figures with 15 and 11 points, respectively.

Tickets for Friday's contest are available for just $5, while the first 200 fans will receive a free TCU Christmas hat.

Sam Houston State enters Friday's contest with a 5-5 overall record after dropping its last three games to UAB, Wichita State and Texas.

The Bearkats are averaging 67.4 points per game but have given up nearly 75 points per contest while the opposition is shooting 43 percent from the field and 37 percent from 3-point range.

Sam Houston State features a veteran lineup with four upperclassmen, led by 6-foot-3 junior center Angela Beadle, who is averaging a near double-double with 15.8 points and 9.9 rebounds while shooting 54 percent from the field. Senior guard Jasmine Johnson is also averaging double figures with 13.0 points to go with 4.7 assists per game.

TCU and Sam Houston State will meet for the 15th time in the series that dates back to 1980 and for the sixth-year in a row, as the Horned Frogs hold a 10-4 overall record and have claimed the last 10 contests going back to 1996.

The last seven contests between the two schools have been played at Daniel-Meyer Coliseum, all of which were TCU wins, and the Horned Frogs hold an overall mark of 8-2 at home against the Bearkats.
