Talented athletes have been one of the trademarks of the last decade of TCU women's basketball. Once college ball is finished for some of these players, the professional ranks have come calling.

The summer of 2008 saw two former Frogs reach the WNBA Finals as members of the San Antonio Silver Stars. Sandora Irvin and Adrianne Ross helped the Stars post the league's best regular-season record on their way to winning the franchise's first WNBA Western Conference championship.

The third overall selection in the 2005 WNBA Draft by the Phoenix Mercury, Sandora Irvin has played five seasons in the WNBA. She was traded from Phoenix to the San Antonio Silver Stars prior to the 2007 season. Irvin helped the squad advance to the 2008 WNBA Finals by winning the Western Conference championship. She signed a free-agent contract with the Chicago Sky in 2010 following a one-year absence spent rehabbing a knee injury. Irvin also served as TCU's Director of Operations from 2007-10. In 2011, Irvin helped the Atlanta Dream make the WNBA Finals by winning the Conference Championship.

Adrianne Ross signed a training camp contract with the San Antonio Silver Stars after concluding her TCU career in the spring of 2008. While she did not make the team out of training camp, Ross was added to the team's roster in time for its run to the 2008 Western Conference championship.
