Child proved that she was one of the best riders in the country in 2013-14, going 12-4 overall with two MOP's in Reining ... The junior also posted a 4-2 conference mark, while going 3-1 in post-season action, including 2-0 at nationals ... Child was honored as the 2014 Big 12 Equestrian Scholar-Athlete of the Year ... By earning Big 12 Scholar-Athlete of the Year, Child became the second-straight TCU student-athlete to claim the prestigious honor ... In 2013-14, Child became a two-time NCEA All-America honoree and Academic All-Big 12 first team selection ... The Oregon native, who was also named a 2014 NCEA Elite Student-Athlete Award nominee, closed out her junior campaign boasting a 4.00 GPA in movement science ... During the course of the season, Child picked up several honors, including NCEA and Big 12 Rider of the Month after going 4-1 during the month of November, which included capturing two MOP accolades ... In all, the NCEA Academic First Team selection opened the year a perfect 3-0 against league foes ... She begun her All-American campaign, scoring a 71 against Baylor in TCU's season-opener ... Child then moved to 2-0 on the year, edging K-State's Kara Guy, 71.5-71, before earning MOP accolades against New Mexico State ... Came back to garner her second-straight MOP honor against South Dakota State, dropping Danielle Baker, 73.5-71 ... She earned the Frogs sole point at Oklahoma State with a 72-69.5 ousting of Mackenzie Fugitt ... Child closed out the fall campaign scoring her fourth-straight victory in Reining, defeating No. 4 Georgia's Lauren Tieche, 71.5-71 ... Came back during the spring and dropped DSU's Darby Mailhot, 71-61.5, at the Fort Worth Stock Show Dual ... Also tallied victories against SMU and versus K-State before upending Baylor's Jessica Leach at the Big 12 Championship ... During nationals, Child had an impressive showing, going 2-0 in competition against the likes of Kirsten McKillop (Fresno State) and Cody McMillion (South Carolina) ... The win against McMillion was the lone point for the Frogs in Reining on the final day of competition in Waco.
Child had a breakout season as she went 10-5 overall in Reining with one MOP honor ... The sophomore was a NCEA Second-Team All-America honoree this school year, while also collecting All Big-12 honors ... She recorded three conference victories on the season and was a First-Team Academic All-Big 12 honoree after being one of only five student-athletes in the conference to post a 4.00 grade point average ... Was honored with Western MVP accolades following the season ... In all, she won 67 percent of her meets this season, including going 3-3 in conference play in Reining ... Scored a point for the Frogs at the Big 12 Championship, defeating Baylor's Claire Edwards ... Helped the Frogs defeat Baylor at the Fort Worth Stock Show, taking down the Bears' Parris Rice.
2011-12 Child was one of six to compete in all 17 meets this season in the Western Reining event... Posted an 8-7-2 overall record as a freshman this season... Won all three of her events at the NCEA Championship, earning three of the total 13 points scored by TCU... Earned victories over Baylor (138-131), Kansas State (141.5-136) and Auburn (138-137.5) at the NCEA Championship.

Child brings an impressive resume to Fort Worth after qualifying for and making the finals at the American Quarter Horse Youth World Show in Reining, Cutting and Cowhorse ... She was also the 2010 AQHYA Working Cowhorse World Champion, while also claiming the AQHA Year End High Point Championship honors in Working Cowhorse and Reining ... Also excelled on the soccer field during her time at Wilsonville, earning four letters ... Was her team captain during her final season in high school.
