05/10/2016 TCU Scholar-Athetes of the MonthStewart and Watts earn monthly honors. 04/25/2016 Equestrian Honors 2015-16 SeasonMolly Peddicord and Chantz Steart earned MVP honors over the weekend. 04/21/2016 TCU Honored For Academics ThursdayErin Gillette and Kari Hancock both earned first-team recognition. 04/16/2016 No. 6 TCU Makes History Saturday NightTCU defeated No. 2 Georgia before falling to No. 1 Auburn. 04/15/2016 No. 6 TCU Wins Thriller in WacoJunior Rylee Morgan helped TCU tie meet at 8-8 in Horsemanship. 09/23/2012 TCU vs. New Mexico StateThe following are photos of TCU vs. New Mexico State Sunday afternoon. 2016 NCEA All-American 2016 Big 12 Rider of the Year 2016 NCEA Academic All-American 2016 Academic All-Big 12 2016 All-Big 12 2016 NCEA All-Championship Team 2016 La Hacienda Academic Honor Roll 2016 Big 12 Championship Most Outstanding Performer Stewart capped one of the all-time great careers in TCU history, earning NCEA First-Team All-America status … With Stewart, who was named the Big 12 Rider of the Year in Reining for a second-straight season in 2015-16, recording All-America status once again, she became the first student-athlete in school history to pick up First-Team accolades in the discipline … Not to be outdone, the All-Championship honoree and all-league performer for a third-straight season excelled outside the show ring as well as she was named a second-team Beval Saddlery Academic Team selection, as well as a second-team Academic All-Big 12 honoree … At the 2016 Big 12 Championship, Stewart, who also was named to the prestigious La Hacienda Academic Honor Roll, earned the Big 12 Most Outstanding Performer in Reining … She closed her season with a 15-3-0 overall record and one MOP … More impressive though is that Stewart went 5-1 in league play and 4-2 overall in postseason action … Going into the final meet of the regular-season, Stewart had raddled off 11-straight victories in Reining and an astonishing 19-1-1 in her last 21 regular-season meets before falling to K-State … In two years, the Arizona product combined to go 11-1 in Big 12 Conference meets during the regular-season … When it was all said and done, Stewart closed her career with an amazing 19-2-1 record in her final 22 regular-season competitions … Throughout the season, Stewart picked up several honors, including Big 12 Rider of the Month after posting a 2-0 record in November to remain a perfect 7-0 on the season … She was also named the Rider of the Month during February after another perfect month of Reining, going undefeated at 4-0 … Throughout the regular-season, Stewart posted wins over SMU, South Carolina, New Mexico State, Baylor, South Dakota State, K-State, Oklahoma State and Fresno State … In postseason play, Stewart earned MOP accolades versus K-State, riding Smarty to a 140-128.5 victory over Kali Retzler … She came back to close out her career at nationals, riding to a 3-1 record in Reining, including claiming a 140-138.5 over Auburn’s Alexa Rivard in her final collegiate ride in the national championship meet … Stewart closed her career winning her final three competitions at nationals, which was a fitting end to one of the most decorated careers in TCU history.
