2015-16 | SOPHOMORE 2016 NCEA Honorable Mention All-American -- Equitation on the Flat 2016 Beval Saddlery Academic Team Honorable Mention 2016 Second Team Academic All-Big 12 Omand had an impressive sophomore season as she was named an NCEA Honorable Mention All-American in Equitation on the Flat ... Omand was awarded All-America recognition for a first time in her career ... The sophomore went 9-5-0 overall on the Flat with one MOP during the regular-season ... She becomes the fourth student-athlete in the last two years to earn All-America recognition in the discipline and seventh overall since 2011 ... Omand closer the season with an 8-9-1 overall record in Equitation over Fences and a 10-8-0 mark in Equitation on the Flat with one MOP ... She also picked Honorable Mention Academic All-America accolades as well as second-team Academic All-Big 12 honors ... Between the two disciplines, Omand recorded six Big 12 wins, while capturing two victories apiece, respectively, during postseason action ... Throughout the regular-season, Omand swept competition on the Flat and over Fences against New Mexico State, South Dakota State and K-State twice ... She also recorded her lone MOP of the season in Equitation on the Flat against Oklahoma State in February by defeating Maggie Drysch, 84-72 ... During postseason, Omand swept New Mexico State in the opening round of nationals.
2014-15 | FRESHMAN 2015 Academic All-Big 12 Rookie Team Omand saw action in 12 meets this season, posting a 5-7 overall record with one MOP in Equitation over Fences ... She also competed six times in Equitation on the Flat, garnering two conference victories ... In post-season action, Omand went 2-1 over Fences ... Recorded her first MOP of her young career against Oklahoma State in Equitation over Fences with an 85-81 victory over Carly Barrick ... Came back later in the day against the Cowgirls to improve to 2-0 on the day with a 75-69 decision over Barrick in Equitation on the Flat ... She also posted a victory in Equitation on the Flat against SMU, dropping Leina King ... Omand closed out the regular-season, scoring victories over Oklahoma State and Fresno State, respectively ... Helped TCU secure third-place honors at the Big 12 Championship, defeating Oklahoma State's Emily Hartley in Equitation over Fences, 159-152 ... Closed out the season, defeating the Cowgirls' Carly Barrick in the opening round of nationals.
PREP CAREER Omand will don the Purple and White after claiming the NorCal Junior 3'6" Medal Finals Championship ... A USEF Talent Search Medal Finalist, Omand recently finished ninth overall at the prestigious WCE Medal Finals ... The California native earned third-place honors at the Pickwick Medal Finals, while also garnering NorCal Year End Equitation 15-17 Championship accolades ... She has also excelled during the 2013 season in PCHA, earning multiple championships, including the Year End 15-17 Region 2 Championship, the "A" Division Reserve Championship and Year End Children's Jumpers Championship ... The USHJA Zone 10 Year End Equitation 15-17 Reserve Champion was recently crowned the NorCal Year End Children's Jumpers 15-17 Reserve Champion ... In all, Omand, who is trained by Kelly Van Vleck and won the CWD Concours D'Equitation Championship in 2012, has qualified and competed at the CPHA Jr ...
