Simonson closed out her senior season in style, picking up her first All-America honoree in Reining ... The Colorado native, who earned All-Big 12 honors this season, was named Big 12 Reining Rider of the Month honors during November, while going 8-6-1 on the year in Reining ... Overall, Simonson went 4-1-1 in conference play and earned two MOP accolades during the course of the season in the discipline ... The 2012-13 Western captain was also a Second-Team Academic All-Big 12 team member as well as a All-Big 12 selection in Reining ... Simonson, a Colorado native, went 3-0 against Big 12 schools during the month of November in Reining ... She held a 4-1 overall record in the discipline with one MOP at that point in the season, which helped her claim Big 12 Reining Rider of the Month ... Against K-State, Simonson carried the Frogs, downing Jordan Cox, 71-68, to claim her first MOP accolade of the season ... She also defeated Oklahoma State's Taylor New, 73-66.
