FORT WORTH, Texas - No. 8 TCU dominated Delaware State Friday at John Justin Arena, claiming a 7-1 decision underneath the bright lights of the Fort Worth Stock Show.

"Coach Walter did a great job preparing the horses and athletes alike," said TCU Director of Equestrian Haley Schoolfield. "We had some very strong rides that were deserving of solid scores. Alexi Child's win with a 10 point spread was impressive and it was great to see Shelby St. Hilaire and Calli Rouse earn MOP awards to start the spring. We are excited to finish the meet on Sunday at our home site in Springtown."

The Horned Frogs, who will look to move to 5-3 overall Sunday, improved to 3-1 all-time inside John Justin Arena and have now won two-straight at the Stock Show after defeating Baylor a year ago.

On Friday, TCU, who posted its largest margin of victory in Stock Show Dual history, cruised to a comfortable 3-0 victory in Reining as several student-athletes shined and just missed sweeping Horsemanship, posting a 4-1 victory in the discipline. The Horned Frogs garnered both MOP accolades on the night with Calli Rouse picking up honors in Horsemanship and sophomore Shelby St. Hilaire claiming her first MOP of her career as a Horned Frog in Reining.

In Horsemanship, Rouse got the Frogs going, recording a 75.5-73.5 victory over Brooke Moore. With the win, Rouse posted her second MOP of the year and moved to 5-3 on the season. Colby Plott and Megan McMullen were also successful, garnering wins over Alaina Halter and Cailynn Fedorkowicz, respectively. Rylee Morgan rounded out the Purple and White's notables in Horsemanship, scoring a 72-71.5 decision over Abigail Buckwalter.

The Frogs were just as dominate in Reining Friday night, sweeping the discipline. Returning All-America honoree Alexi Child continued her winning ways in the event, dropping Darby Mailhot, 71-61.5. With the victory, Child improved to 7-1 on the season. Brooke Boyle was also victorious, defeating Alexis Gratkowski, while St. Hilaire stold the show, upending Kali Voshell, 74.5-70.5, which was the highest score of the night in Reining. Finally, Katelyn Gray and Chantz Stewart appeared to have scored a point for the Purple and White, but both ended up scoring draws against Buckwalter and Tayler Scuse, respectively.

TCU will continue action against DSU Sunday at Turning Point Ranch. Start time is set for 10:00 a.m. in Springtown.
