SPRINGTOWN, Texas - On a cold and windy day, No. 8 TCU cruised to its fourth-straight victory at home this season with a 14-6 dismantling of Fresno State Friday at Turning Point Ranch.

With the win, the Horned Frogs, who outscored the Bulldogs by a total score of 1,507.5-1,448.5, moved to 5-3 overall and are currently on a two-meet winning streak. Individually, Demi Stiegler, Taylor Alexander and Samantha Bayer all picked up MOP accolades Friday.

"I am really proud of how the girls rode today on a cold and long day," said Western Head Coach Kindel Walter. "We really wanted to continue the momentum we gained by defeating Baylor last weekend and I thought we were able to do that today."

The Frogs simply dominated Fresno State in Western Friday, dropping the Bulldogs, 8-2. In all, the Western squad improved to 6-1 on the season with the victory.

Bayer led the Purple and White, collecting her first MOP of the season in Horsemanship, while evening her season record to 3-3-1. The sophomore, who went 2-0 on the day, upended Lauren Crivelli, 76-75.5. Also victorious in the event were Calli Rouse and Alexie Estrada who defeated Shauna Woodward and Christa Beezley, respectively. With the win, Estrada collected her fifth victory of the year, while Rouse improved to 3-2-2. Freshman Erin Gillette rounded out the Frog scoring, downing Sydney Elliott. 

In Reining, TCU made quick work of Fresno State, upending the Bulldogs, 4-1. Alexi Child opened the TCU scoring with a 71.5-70.5 victory over Crivelli. Senior Kolby Simonson also garnered a point for the Frogs, defeating Kirsten McKillop, 72.5-72. Bayer continued her winning ways in Reining, dropping Sydney Coletti, 72-71. Sophomore Katelyn Gray put the finishing touches on another impressive victory for the Western squad with a 72.5-70.5 dismantling of Sonja Koch.

Overall, Simonson and Gray improved to 5-2 on the season in the event. 

"At the end of a long day, I was really pleased with everyone on the Hunt Seat side," said Hunt Seat head coach Logan Fiorentino. "We had several of the girls really compete hard today. We really rode well and now just need to continue to get better before we take on Oklahoma State." 

On the Hunt Seat side, TCU dropped Fresno State by a final score of 6-4 to move to 4-3 on the season. The Purple and White outscored the Bulldogs, 784-732. 

In Equitation on the Flat, Stiegler posted a 91-63 victory over Lanie Madrazo. The sophomore picked up her first MOP of the year and improved her season record to 6-1. Kaitlin Perry also shined in the event, riding Ella to a final score of 88-75 over Dayle Fischer. Caitlin Ader scored the final point for the Frogs with an 85-82 dropping of Hillary West.

Alexander led the Horned Frogs in Equitation over Fences, upending Fischer, 81-76. Perry, who went 2-0 in action Friday, and Haley Jacobi tallied the other two points for TCU by defeating West and Macy Wilson, respectively.

With the win, Perry moved to 5-2 in Fences, while Alexander claimed her second MOP of the year.

The Horned Frogs will next be in action Sunday, Feb. 24 against Oklahoma State. Start time is set for 10:00 a.m. CT from Turning Point Ranch.
