SPRINGTOWN, Texas - TCU claimed all four MOP honors Friday en route to opening its season with a 10-9 victory over Texas Tech and North Central Texas College at Turning Point Ranch.

The Rundown
The Horned Frogs started out on fire in Horsemanship, downing the Lions, 4-1. Freshman Jamie Cook led the way, scoring a 75-72 victory over Arianne Cox. With the win, the Colorado native secured her first MOP of her young career. Emma Edwards and Ally Fink were also victorious, dropping Rebecca Carlisle and Hannah Penny, respectively. Freshman Josie Mootz rounded out the Horned Frog notables in the discipline, upending Kodi Anderson, 75.5-73.

In Reining, freshman Carly Lombard carried the Purple and White with a 73-70 victory over Anna Muratova. Lombard, who hails from Colorado, earned MOP accolades in the discipline. Fellow freshman Claire Dittrich just missed scoring a point for TCU, falling to Penny, 71.5-71.

On the Hunt Seat side, the Frogs posted a 5-4 decision over Texas Tech. Junior Mady Fithian helped the Purple and White claim a 3-2 mark in Equitation on the Flat by posting a 78-69 win over Ashley Roberts. Freshman Melanie Selleck and sophomore Kayla McCarthy joined Fithian, who earned her first MOP honor of her career, as notables in the discipline Friday. Selleck recorded a 75-64 victory over Caitlin Kimmel, while McCarthy dropped Alexa Popovich.

In Equitation over Fences, junior Julia Finn rode Java to an 80-73 win over Emma Mathiasmeier. With the win, Finn not only posted her first victory of her career, but also claimed her first MOP honor. Freshman Courtney May rounded out TCU's winners Friday, dropping Popovich, 60-40. Fellow newcomer Patty Gill just missed her first career win, battling Kimmel to an 84-84 draw.
