No. 6 TCU Travels To No. 4 Baylor Saturday

FORT WORTH, Texas -- No. 6 TCU returns to action Saturday at No. 4 Baylor. Start time is set for 1:00 p.m. CT.

The All-Time Series
TCU and Baylor will meet for the 17th time in program history Saturday. The Bears currently lead the series at 10-6 after battling to a 9-9 draw in October.

We Meet Again
In October, No. 6 TCU battled No. 3 Baylor to a 9-9 draw, but fell by an overall raw score at Turning Point Ranch. The Frogs fought hard throughout the meet, but Baylor was able to claim enough points in Reining to secure the close victory. On the day, Molly Peddicord and Carley Montemuro both recorded MOP rides.

Peddicord Just Keeps Winning
Molly Peddicord continued her winning ways against Fresno State, claiming another MOP in Equitation over Fences. The junior has now gone 15-1 between Equitation on the Flat and Equitation over Fences heading into Saturday. She has now also garnered six MOP rides between the two disciplines.

Stewart Pushing For All-America Honors
Returning All-American Chantz Stewart shined during the fall campaign, going a perfect 7-0 in Reining. She opened the spring season, defeating Fresno State's Aly Frias to move to 8-0 on the season. The 2015 Big 12 Reining Rider of the Year honoree went 6-0 last year against conference foes during the regular-season. She has now gone an impressive 16-1-1 in her last 18 regular-season outings in Reining.

Scouting TCU
No. 6 TCU comes into Saturday with a 4-4 overall record after defeating Fresno State, 14-6. Against the Bulldogs, the Hunt Seat side dominated earning both MOP honors.

In Equitation over Fences, Molly Peddicord remained undefeated on the season en route to claiming her fourth MOP honor in the discipline. Carley Barnett, Emery Hanson and Nicole Diamantis followed, upending Alex Dirickson, Kylina Chalack and Sierra Swaffar, respectively.

In Equitation on the Flat, Diamantis also earned MOP accolades, dropping Alex Dirickson, 86-64. Jayme Omand defeated Genna Fogelberg, 76-61, while Emelie Burgess and Peddicord rounded out the Horned Frog notables in the discipline upending Sierra Swaffar and Kylina Chalack, respectively.

On the Western side, Chantz Stewart improved to 8-0 in Reining defeating Aly Frias, 72-70.5. Hunter De Jane took the other point for TCU dropping Taylor Dixon, 71-69.

In Horsemanship, the Horned Frogs claimed four out of the five points. Elizabeth Bohn, Alex Stark, Erin Gillette and Megan McMullen were all victorious for the Purple and White.

Scouting Baylor
No. 4 Baylor comes into this weekend with a 7-3 overall record after falling to Texas A&M, 10-8. The Bears claimed two MOP accolades against the Aggies.

On the Western side, Ginger Chant took the lone point for the Bears in Reining by defeating the Aggies Logan Pluhar, 68.5-68. In Horsemanship, Kaylee Mellot scored a 75.5 en route to earning an MOP honor is the discipline. Mary Brown posted the other point upending Avery Ellis, 74-72.5.

On the Hunt Seat side, Baylor posted a score of 3-1 in Equitation on the Flat. Alicia Gasser, Rachel Van Allen and Paige Parker were all victorious. Gasser was recently named the NCEA Rider of the Month in Equitation on the Flat.

In Equitation over Fences, Brittney Mirkov dropped Haley Webster, 85-72, while claiming MOP honors. Savannah Jenkins was also victorious, upending Rachel Hake, 80-79.
