Preview: #4 Oklahoma State, #8 SDSU

FORT WORTH, Texas - The No. 7 TCU equestrian team prepares for a three-meet homestand beginning with meets against No. 8 South Dakota State on Thursday and No. 4 Oklahoma State on Saturday at Turning Point Ranch in Springtown. Start time is set for 12 p.m. Thursday and 10 a.m. Saturday.

The Horned Frogs
TCU (5-6) has won three of its four meets this spring season, including its most recent, a 13-6 win on the road at UT-Martin. The Horned Frogs swept the four MOP awards in the win over the Skyhawks and have won 15 of a possible 16 MOP awards this spring.

Adrianna Adams in Reining and Laska Anderson in Horsemanship have led the Frogs with three MOP awards each this season. Anderson leads the way with her nine wins in Horsemanship while Jayme Omand is just behind with eight wins in Equitation on the Flat.

About the Jackrabbits
South Dakota State (3-3) comes to Springtown as the No. 8 team in the NCEA rankings. SDSU is coming off of a 9-7 home win over Delaware State. The Jacks' only other ride of the spring season was an exhibition win over North Dakota State.

The series between TCU and SDSU is currently tied at 4-4 between the two teams. The last time the two met was Feb. 24, 2017, in Las Cruces, N.M, where TCU won, 9-6. They haven't competed in Springtown since an Oct. 31, 2015, TCU win.

About the Cowgirls
Oklahoma State (5-3) is ranked No. 4 in the latest NCEA rankings after knocking off then-No. 4 SMU and Fresno State in California last weekend. The Cowgirls lost their only other meet of the spring season, falling at home to then-No. 5 Auburn, 10-8.

The Cowgirls lead the all-time series with TCU, 15-8. TCU fell to OSU in Stillwater earlier in the season with a 13-6 decision. TCU's last win in the series came on March 28, 2015, at the Big 12 Championships.

Up Next The Frogs will finish out the regular season when they host SMU at Turning Point Ranch for Senior Day on March 9. TCU will then host the Big 12 Championships on March 30-31.
