Duo Named NCEA All-America Honorees Tuesday

FORT WORTH, Texas – Junior Alexi Child and sophomore Shelby St. Hilaire earned NCEA All-America Honorable Mention accolades Tuesday in Reining.

With two student-athletes honored Tuesday, the Horned Frogs have now had 12 student-athletes all-time earn All-America recognition by the NCEA. On the Western side, TCU has had nine NCEA All-America honors in program history. 

Child, who earned NCEA Second-Team All-America status a year ago, closed out the regular-season, going 9-3 overall in Reining. She also scored two MOP accolades, while earning three conference victories. During the course of the season, Child picked up several honors, including NCEA and Big 12 Rider of the Month.

St. Hilaire garnered her first NCEA All-America accolade Tuesday by posting a 7-2-3 overall record in Reining with one MOP honor. The redshirt sophomore also collected three victories in the discipline during league play.

TCU will next be in action Friday at the Big 12 Equestrian Championship in Waco. The Horned Frogs, who are seeded No. 3, will take on No. 2 Baylor at 10:00 a.m.
