March 29, 2017 FORT WORTH, Texas – Kenrich Williams of men's basketball and Megan McMullen of women's equestrian have been named this week's TCU Muscle Milk Athletes of the Week after an incredible set of performances.
Williams put up 11 points, 14 rebounds and 10 assists in the game against Richmond. This is TCU’s second ever triple-double and helped send the Horned Frogs to New York to continue in the NIT at Madison Square Garden. Williams had 14 points, 14 rebounds and seven assists last night in the semifinals against UCF, marking the 18th double-double of the season and 20th of his career. Williams’ seven assists were a career-high. The top three assist totals of his career have come in the last three contests. He had a career-high 10 assists versus Richmond and six against Iowa.
Williams and the Frogs will play for the NIT title Thursday night against Georgia Tech.
McMullen was named Horsemanship Rider of the Year as well as being named to the All-Big 12 Horsemanship Team. This is McMullen’s first Rider of the Year honor, marking her third time being named to the Horsemanship All-Big 12 Team.
