FORT WORTH, Texas - The TCU equestrian program received word Monday afternoon that it will be the No. 9 seed in the upcoming 2014 NCEA Championships in Waco.

The Horned Frogs, who went 6-6 overall during the regular-season, will battle No. 8 seeded Fresno State, beginning Thursday, April 17.  The winner of the opening-round meet will face No. 1 seed South Carolina, who recently claimed the SEC Championship.

This is the eighth-straight year in which the Frogs have been invited to nationals, which will open on Thursday, April 17 and run through Saturday, April 19. TCU and Fresno State will meet for the 13th-time in program history, including the third time in postseason play. The Bulldogs currently lead the all-time series, 7-5, but the Purple and White claimed a 14-6 victory over FSU last February. In all, TCU has won three out of the last five against Fresno State and is 1-1 all-time against the Bulldogs at nationals, having most recently scored a 6-1 victory at the 2011 Varsity Equestrian National Championships.

Fans not able to attend the NCEA Championships can follow the action live by logging onto www.gofrogs.com. Following each day in Waco, a full recap and final results will be posted daily. During the meets, live results will be made available at the official TCU equestrian twitter page. Fans are encouraged to follow @TCUWEquestrian.
