FORT WORTH, Texas - TCU senior Kelsey Huffman recently sat down with GoFrogs.com to discuss her beginnings in horseback riding and her growth since her freshman year.

The No. 8 Horned Frogs will look to finish the season in style at the 2011 Varsity Equestrian National Championships beginning April 14 at the Heart O' Texas Fair Complex in Waco, Texas.

What brought you to the sport?
My parents were horse trainers and I grew up on a ranch with horses in my backyard, so it's in the family.

What is your favorite thing about riding?
I love working hard and seeing the results. I also love being able to show God the glory.

Who is your role model and why?
My sister is because if I can be half of what she is, I'll be good. She has tried really hard all her life to be a great example for me and that she has.

How is Texas different from California?
The people. I love Texas!

What do you miss about home?
I miss my friends and family.

What is the biggest achievement of your career so far?
Since being an athlete at TCU, my biggest achievement was last year when I became the first athlete at TCU to be chosen as an individual rider for more than one event.

How have you improved from your freshman year?
Coming in as a freshman, I didn't have a routine when I competed. I do now and I believe that is very beneficial when I'm competing.

What advice would you give to the freshmen?
Find a leader on the team who you'd wish to be like and do everything you can to follow their lead.

What are your plans post-graduation?
I would like to get a job in Fort Worth.
