April 6, 2017

FORT WORTH, Texas – Two members of the TCU equestrian team were named to the National Collegiate Equestrian Association All-America teams for the 2017 season.

Senior Kari Hancock earned first-team honors for Equitation on the Flat. Hancock is the first rider in TCU history to earn two first-team All-American honors on the Hunt Seat side. She was also a first-team member in Equitation on the Flat in 2015.

She is just the third rider in school history to earn first-team All-American honors on the Hunt Seat side, joining Demi Stiegler (2013, Flat) and Molly Peddicord (2016, Fences).

In addition to Hancock’s honor, junior Jayme Omand was named an Equitation Over Fences All-American honorable mention pick. This is the second time she has been an honorable mention pick, earning the accolade in Equitation on the Flat last season.

She is one of just three Frogs to ever be honored in Fences, joining Nicole Diamantis (2015) and Molly Peddicord (2016), who were honorable mention and first-team picks, respectively.

TCU equestrian has now earned 26 NCEA All-America honors overall since the program entered the NCEA, 14 on the Western side and 12 on the Hunt Seat side.
