FORT WORTH, Texas - The National Collegiate Equestrian Association recently named eight TCU equestrian student-athletes to its Academic All-America list for the 2011-12 season.

Earning first team Academic All-America accolades was junior Haley Jacobi, while Alexie Estrada, Kolby Simonson and Devin Spencer collected second team recognition. Courtney Chown, Taylor Frederick, Lyndsi Hardin and Callie Selchau rounded out the Horned Frog selections by taking home honorable mention honors.

"It's very exciting to have eight TCU equestrian student-athletes named to the Academic All-American list," said Hunt Seat head coach Logan Fiorentino. "This honor acknowledges not only these student-athletes achievements in the competition arena, but the classroom as well. I am very proud of these student-athletes, what they have accomplished, and how they have represented TCU athletically and academically."

TCU will next be in action at the 2012 NCEA National Championships in Waco, Texas, which will begin on Thursday, April 12 and run through Saturday, April 14.
