FORT WORTH, Texas - TCU Hunt Seat head coach Logan Fiorentino announced the addition of Kari Hancock to the Horned Frogs' equestrian program Friday morning.
“Kari is a bright and talented young lady,” said Fiorentino. “She has a fantastic set of fundamentals and basics to go along with her experience riding a variety of horses. She has a passion for TCU and is excited about joining our program. I’m looking forward to seeing what Kari is capable of achieving at TCU.”
Hancock, who hails from Anchorage, Alaska, will don the Purple and White after graduating from South Anchorage High School where she was a member of the National Honors Society and National Society of High Scholars.
The future Frog, who has been admitted into TCU’s Honors College and was awarded the prestigious Chancellors Scholar, has excelled inside the show ring as well, capturing the WCCEC George and Brenda Wuerch Hunter Classic Championship. She also claimed championship accolades at the WCCEC Open Equitation Challenge.
Hancock, who competed on the HITS Thermal Circuit in California, was named the 2010 ASH Large Junior Working Hunter champion, while also posting championship honors at the EEC Hunter Derby.
