FORT WORTH, Texas – TCU Hunt Seat head coach Logan Fiorentino announced the addition of Marisa Malevitis Wednesday morning.

“We are very excited to have Marisa join the TCU family,” said Fiorentino. “She has a lot of experience riding a variety of horses which will hopefully translate well to the collegiate format.  She has a fantastic work ethic and commitment to excellence. We look for those traits to carry through her time at TCU.  For the past several years, she has been working with some great instructors who have developed her into a great talent.  We look forward to her arrival in Fort Worth.”

Malevitis comes to TCU after earning top ribbons, including the Children’s Jumpers section, at HITS Ocala. The Wilmette, Ill., native also qualified for the 2013 HITS Equitation Championship, while competing on the Zone 5 Pony Jumper Team at the 2012 USEF National Pony Finals. A winner of the Child/Adult Modified Jumper Classic at the 2012 Showplace Fall Classic, Malevitis has posted top-placings and ribbons at shows throughout the country on catchrides and unfamiliar horses in Hunters, Jumpers and Equitation classes.

A member of the New Trier High School varsity dance team, Malevitis recently helped her squad compete at the national finals in Orlanda, Fla.
