FORT WORTH, Texas – TCU Hunt Seat head coach Logan Fiorentino announced the addition on Canada standout Mackenzie Clark to the equestrian program Friday morning.

“I’m pleased to announce that Mackenzie will be joining the team this fall,” said Fiorentino. “Mackenzie is an outstanding rider with a tremendous work ethic. She’s got a great attitude and competitive drive. Her experience working with talented trainers as a working student will be an asset for her as she transitions into the NCEA format.”

Clark, who is from Caledon, Ontario, will travel to Fort Worth this fall after qualifying and competing at the prestigious USEF Medal and ASPCA Maclay Finals, respectively. Clark, who trained with Bobby Braswell, recently competed at the HITS Ocala Circuit in Florida, while finishing fourth overall at the Ontario Hunter Jumper Association Zone Junior Hunter Division.

The 2010 Ontario Hunter Jumper Association Sportsmanship Award winner was also named the Reserve Circuit Champion at the Ocala Winter Circuit. Clark, who finished in third-place at the Ontario Hunter Jumper Association Medal Finals, was named the 2011 Ontario Hunter Jumper Association Zone Champion, while also placing in the top-12 at both the Canada Medal Finals and R.W. Mutch Equitation Championship.

Clark will also don the Purple and White after finishing fourth at the Canadian Equestrian Team Regionals. She also qualified for the Jump Canada Medal Final.
