Equestrian Adds Peddicord Wednesday
June 12, 2013
FORT WORTH, Texas - TCU Hunt Seat head coach Logan Fiorentino announced the addition of Molly Peddicord to the equestrian program Wednesday afternoon.
"I am thrilled to have Molly joining the TCU equestrian team this fall," said Fiorentino. "She is a very talented rider who has had a lot of success competing in both the Equitation and Jumpers. She has been working with a fantastic group of trainers in California and has developed into a top talent. Her experience competing in Canada along with her success in the Equitation Finals should prove to be an asset as she makes the transition to collegiate riding. I'm excited to see what she brings to the TCU equestrian team this fall."
Peddicord, who is from Pacific Palisades, Calif., brings plenty of show experience with her to Fort Worth having finished in third-place at the CPHA Junior Finals, while also placing in the top-10 at the CPHA Foundation Finals. A bronze medalist at the USET Talent Search, Peddicord was the Reserve Champion at the LAHJA Medal Finals. She also claimed Equitation 15-17 Championship accolades at the Blenheim Spring Week 2 & 3, to go along with first-place honors at the prestigious Maclay Finals.
In 2013 alone, Peddicord has finished second overall at the Pessoa USEF Medal Finals in Flintridge, while posting championship rides in the Low Junior A/O division, Low Junior A/O Classic and Pessoa USEF Medal at the Del Mar Horse Show. The Oaks Christian School graduate, who has competed internationally in the Junior Jumpers at Spruce Meadows in Calgary, Canada, has qualified for the USEF Medal Finals and ASPCA Maclay Regionals. She was the Taylor Harris Equine Insurance Medal Final Champion at the Capital Challenge Horse Show in Upper Marlboro, Md.
Peddicord is the daughter of Robert and Susie Peddicord and is trained by the Karazissis Family of Far West Farms.
