FORT WORTH, Texas - GoFrogs.com recently sat down with senior Hunt Seat rider Kaitlin Perry to find out more about her life as a TCU student-athlete.

This past season, Perry recorded three MOP's throughout the year between Equitation on the Flat and over Fences, respectively. In all, she totaled 13 wins between the two disciplines, while going 2-4 in both during league play.

Perry also earned several honors for her work in the classroom, including 2014 NCEA Academic Honorable Mention and Academic All-Big 12 recognition.

Have you done any equestrian shows this summer? If so, talk a little bit about them.
"I have been able to show a couple of times earlier in the summer and it went really well. I've switched to the Jumpers to have more fun with less pressure. I'm still trying to qualify for some medals in California. I'm in Europe now and when I get back I'll do a couple of more shows before heading back to school."

Which three items would you bring if you had to live on a deserted island?
"I would definitely bring my kindle with an unlimited source of books as well as my two best friends!"

What is one thing most people don't know about you?
"Most people don't know that I won't walk on sidewalk grates because I'm scared of falling in and being trapped."

What has been the highlight of your equestrian career thus far?
"I would definitely say that any time I was able to ride my horse back home, Odie, has been a highlight. He always somehow ended up being injured, so any time I was able to ride him was amazing. At TCU, my highlight would be sweeping the Flat against Kansas State my junior year because we all came together to pull out the win."

Where is your favorite place to be in the entire world?
"After traveling this summer it's really hard to say. Budapest was absolutely phenomenal and if I could bring my horses, family and friends then that would definitely be my favorite place. However, Northern California is more feasible."

What is the best thing about being a part of TCU Equestrian?
"The girls without a doubt. I've made such lasting friendships on this team. Without each and every one of these girls, my stay at TCU wouldn't have been an eighth of what it is now."

What is one food that you couldn't live without?
"That's tough. I can't decide between sushi and candy!"

If you could play any other sport, what would it be and why?
"I think it'd be fun to be a gymnast but I'm definitely not graceful enough for that, so I'll stick with horses."

Where is your favorite spot on TCU's campus?
"My favorite spot is the top of the stadium at sunset. It's such a gorgeous view."

If you could have one wish granted, what would it be?
"Unlimited food."
