TCU Adds Quartet to 2012-13 Roster

FORT WORTH, Texas - The TCU equestrian program announced Friday that it has added Danielle Dirkx, Emily Guhde, Colby Plott and Ally Friedman to its 2012-13 roster.

Dirkx, who hails from Lake Oswego, Ore., will compete for TCU this fall after being named a 2010 OHJA Children's Medal winner. She also earned third overall in both regional Equitation and Hunter action in 2010 and 2011, respectively.

Guhde will don the Purple and White after qualifying for the prestigious USEF Medal Finals, ASPCA Maclay Regionals, Junior Hunter Finals and Hunterdon Cup Equitation Classic. The Atlanta, Ga., native has garnered multiple THIS Medal wins, while also earning runner-up accolades at the NCE Children's Equitation Finals.

Plott also comes to TCU from Lake Oswego, Ore. She will compete in Western this fall after competing for Lake Oswego High School. Plott brings a wealth of experience to the Horned Frog equestrian program as she has been riding for 14 years.

Friedman will compete for the Frogs this school year after collecting Region 7 championship accolades in Reining. The Arizona product, who recently placed in the top-10 in the Arizona standings in Reining, earned championship honors in Reining Seat Equitation.

The Horned Frogs will open their season Sept. 23 against New Mexico State. Start time is set for 10:00 a.m. CT at Turning Point Ranch.
