Jada Taylor Earns NCEA Monthly Award

Nov. 1, 2017

FORT WORTH, Texas -- Junior and Washington D.C. native Jada Taylor was named the inaugural Standout Student-Athlete of the Month by the National Collegiate Equestrian Association.

The NCEA has created this new accolade to recognize student-athletes for their accomplishments outside the arena, to highlight their academic and philanthropic performance, attitude, and their embodiment of an ideal teammate.

Taylor, TCU's SAAC President, is a strategic communication major with a cumulative GPA of 3.737. She was named to the Big 12 Commissioner Honor Roll in each of her first two seasons. She also earned NCEA APHA Academic Honor Roll honors last season.

She has also been the TCU equestrian team spirit coordinator, earned the sportsmanship award and contributed over 20 hours of community service to both the Fort Worth and TCU community.

During the summer of 2017, she worked for AstraZeneca in her hometown of Washington D.C. as the U.S. Oncology Corporate Affairs Intern.
