Three Frogs Earn Monthly Equestrian Awards

FORT WORTH, Texas – The Big 12 Conference announced its Equestrian Riders of the Month on Wednesday, with three of four going to TCU riders.

Senior Carley Barnett was named Rider of the Month in Equitation on the Flat, sophomore Laska Anderson was named for Horsemanship, and freshman Adrianna Adams was named for Reining.

This is Barnett’s second monthly accolade overall from the Big 12, the first for Flat. She earned her accolade in Fences in March of 2017. She went 2-0 in Flat in November, carrying a record of 4-3 for the fall. She has a current average score of 78.1. She downed her Baylor opponent by 13 points.

This is the first Big 12 monthly accolade for both Anderson and Adams.

Anderson went 2-0 in the month of November, posting a career-high 76-point ride at Oklahoma State. She went 6-1 for the fall season in Horsemanship.

Adams also went 2-0 in November and has an overall record of 6-1-1 for her freshman fall semester in Reining.
