Nuutinen Continues Strong Play in Puerto Rico

RIO GRANDE, Puerto Rico -- TCU senior Sanna Nuutinen shot a 1-over-par 73 and is tied for 12th individually after Monday's second round of the Lady Puerto Rico Classic.
Nuutinen closed play with her second birdie of the day. She recorded par on 14 holes. The Helsinki, Finland, native is 1 over through 36 holes and six strokes behind Purdue's Aurora Kan, who sits atop the leaderboard with a 5-under 139.
No. 43 TCU had a 307 Monday and is in 15th place. No. 8 Arkansas is at 5-under 571 for a 13-stroke lead over No. 40 Augusta State. Nine teams in this year's Lady Puerto Rico Classic are ranked in the top 50, including six in the top 25.
Fort Worth native Chaney Uhles shot par on 16 holes en route to a 75, lowering her score by eight strokes from Sunday's opening round.
Alexandra Bonetti had a pair of birdies on the back nine in contributing a 79 for TCU.
