AUSTIN, Texas - The Horned Frogs maintained their sixth place seat after the third and final round of the Betsy Rawls Longhorn Invitational in Austin. No. 1 Duke claimed the top spot and Arkansas' Stacy Lewis held on to her first place honors individually. TCU's Catherine Matranga finished two strokes behind to tie for second, her best career finish yet with a 76-75-77=226 (+10).

The Frogs finished ahead of No. 12 Missouri, No. 21 Tulsa, and No. 26 SMU.

Sophomore Camille Blackerby slipped from second to fifth in the final round, shooting a 77. The Frogs have not had two players finish in the top six since Feb. of 2004 when then-senior Brooke Tull and then-freshman Blackerby finished one-six, respectively.

Senior D'Rae Ward built her case by climbing to a tie for 42 in her best round of the tourney, carding a 77. Sophomore Elin Emanuelsson tied for 66 with her best score of the tourney with a final-round 80. Junior Traci Robison rounded out the Frogs with a 92nd finish, shooting a final-round 89.

The University of Texas hosted the invitational at the University of Texas Golf Club, a 6,323 yard, 72-par course played in 54 holes, 18 each of the three days. The 17-team field featured 13 teams in the nation's top 50, including No. 1 Duke, No. 7 Arizona State, No. 8 Oklahoma State, No. 12 Missouri, No. 17 Arkansas, No. 21 Tulsa, No. 24 Texas, No. 26 SMU, No. 31 California, No. 34 Baylor, No. 37 Texas A&M, and No. 39 Oklahoma.

Individually, eight of the nation's top 20 golfers challenged the TCU golfers. They include No. 1 Louise Stahle of Arizona State, No. 2 Karin Sjodin of Oklahoma State, No. 3 Brittany Lang of Duke, No. 4 Elizabeth Janangelo of Duke, No. 9 Annie Thurman of Oklahoma State, No. 13 Maria Ohlsson of Missouri, No. 17 Stacy Lewis of Arkansas, and No. 19 Sofie Andersson of California.
