Nuutinen One Stroke Off The Lead at LSU

BATON ROUGE, La. -- TCU's Sanna Nuutinen carded a 1-over-par 73 and is just one stroke off the individual lead after Saturday's second round of the LSU Tiger Golf Classic.
The Horned Frogs' 303 has them at 604 through 36 holes and in sixth place, 14 strokes behind eighth-ranked and leader Arkansas. The Razorbacks' 590 is 10 shots ahead of No. 25 Tulane and No. 30 LSU. Ten of the 14 teams in the LSU Tiger Golf Classic are ranked in the top 50.
Nuutinen totaled a team-best five birdies Saturday, including three of her first five holes and two of the last three. Her 145 is a stroke behind a quartet of golfers at 144.
A junior from Helsinki, Finland, Nuutinen is on pace for her third top-10 finish in seven tournaments this season.
TCU sophomore Alexandra Bonetti, who's tied for 13th with a 148, birdied her opening hole en route to a 75. The Paris, France, native is looking for a third top-15 result in her last four events.
April McCoy birdied her opening hole and two of her first five in recording a 79.
