BATON ROUGE, La. -- Alexandra Bonetti and Sanna Nuutinen placed in the top 10 to lead TCU to a fourth-place finish after Sunday's final round of the LSU Tiger Golf Classic.
Playing in very windy conditions, the Horned Frogs moved up two spots Sunday in equaling their best finish of the season and recording their fourth top-10 result in eight tournaments.
No. 58 TCU finished ahead of six top-50 programs, including No. 17 NC State and No. 19 Georgia. Ten of the 14 teams in the LSU Tiger Golf Classic are ranked in the top 50.
Bonetti finished sixth individually, marking the third time in the last four tournaments she's had a career-best result. The sophomore from Paris, France, had a pair of birdies on the front nine en route to a 76 and a 54-hole total of 8-over 224.
Nuutinen tied for seventh for her team-best third top-10 finish in seven tournaments this season.
Maxoutopoulis tied for 31st. She has improved her finish in each tournament this spring. Maymon posted two birdies in a five-hole stretch in tying for 42nd.
With an 899, No. 8 Arkansas took the team title by 10 strokes over No. 24 Tulane. The Razorbacks' Emily Tubert captured medalist honors by five shots with an even-par 216.
