April 2, 2004
Tempe, Arizona - The TCU women's golf team managed only the first few holes of the PING/ASU Invitational today before unfriendly weather pushed the first round to Saturday at 7:30 a.m. Second-round play will begin immediately following the first round using the same hole assignments and pairings as used on Friday morning. Scores will be updated at the conclusion of the first round tomorrow, and live scoring will resume in the second round. Thunderstorms are expected throughout the weekend at the par 72, 6,230-yard Karsten Golf Course on the campus of Arizona State University in Tempe.
The Frogs, represented by Brooke Tull, Camille Blackerby, Stacey Bieber, Catherine Matranga, and Elin Emanuelsson, will match up tomorrow against 16 other teams: Arizona State, Arizona, California, New Mexico, New Mexico State, Northern Arizona, Oregon, oregon State, Pepperdine, San Jose State, Stanford, UCLA, USC, Texas, Tulsa, and Washington. California captured the team title last year, with UCLA's Charlotte Mayorkas taking home the individual honors.
