TCU Slips to a 13th Place Finish in PING/ASU Invitational

TEMPE, Ariz. - The TCU Horned Frogs slipped a few spots to finish 13th at the PING/ASU Invitational on the Karsten Golf Course in Tempe, Ariz. The host, Arizona State, tied with UCLA for first, while ASU's Louise Stahle tallied a seven-under par score to finish first individually.

For TCU, senior D'Rae Ward shot a steady 222 over the three rounds (74-73-75) to lead the Frogs at a tie for 13th. Sophomore Camille Blackerby shot a one-under in the final round to sneak up to a tie for 16th (76-76-71=223).

Sophomore Catherine Matranga finished tied for 20th following her second round 69 (78-69-77=224). Freshman Carrie Morris finished 85th with a 27-over par score and fellow freshman Elisa Gomez rounded out the Frogs with a 78-84-82=244 tie for 86th.
