Ward Leads Frogs in Price's Give Em Five Intercollegiate

LAS CRUCES, N.M. - After the first round of play in Las Cruces today, senior D'Rae Ward leads the Frogs with a tie for 23rd. As a team, the Frogs are in 15 place of 18 teams in the Price's Give Em Five Intercollegiate on the New Mexico State University Golf Course (par 72, yardage 6,319).

The individual leaderboard saw Arizona State's Louise Stahle and Texas Tech's Hazel Tan (playing as an individual) end the first day of competition with a one-under par 71. Three players tied for third place with even par. Ward leads the Frogs with a four-over 76.

The host, New Mexico State sits atop the team leaderboard (296) followed by Arizona State with a 297. TCU finished the day with a 317 for 15th place.

The team will continue competition at the Jeannine McHaney Invitational (Par 72, 6,416 yards) tomorrow with a shotgun start at 8:15.
