Women's Golf in 12th place at New Mexico State

Oct. 7, 2002

Las Cruces, NM - Brooke Tull is tied for 11th place after shooting a three-over par 75 in the first round of the Price's Give Em Five Intercollegiate. As a team, the Frogs are in 12th place after they shot a 316. New Mexico (299), Baylor (304) and New Mexico State (305) hold the top three positions after the first day.

High winds affected the scores in the opening day as only one player in the tournament field shot par or better. In addition to Tull's opening round 75, the Frogs were led by senior Shannon Barr and sophomore Meredith Easley, who are tied for 48th after firing an 80. Sophomore D'Rae Ward is one shot back with an 81, placing her in a tie for 61st. Freshman Traci Robison is tied for 67 after shooting an 82.

Play will resume Tuesday beginning at 8:44 a.m. central time.
