Horned Frog Golfers Log Best Finish of the Fall

GREENVILLE, S.C. - The Horned Frog women's golf team and sophomore Catherine Matranga closed out the fall season with their best performances yet this year as both finished fourth out of a field of 23 teams and 122 individuals at the Furman Lady Paladin Classic on the Furman Golf Course.

The entire tournament showed a marked improvement on the Frogs' fall season, as the team never slipped lower than sixth place and Matranga ranked as high as second on day two.

Sophomore Camille Blackerby inched up a few spots to tie for 18th to give TCU two top-20 scores and help the team to a fourth place finish.

Furman golfer Monique Gesualdi maintained her hold on the lead with a three-under par performance; she, along with teammate Jenny Suh - who claimed a share of second place - helped her team capture the team victory.
