Bozarth Selected for SWC Hall of Fame
March 12, 2014
WACO, Texas -- Former TCU women's golf standout Marci Bozarth has been selected to the Southwest Conference Hall of Fame.
A two-time first-team All-American, Bozarth helped lead TCU to the 1983 national championship, where she tied for fifth individually.
During her career, Bozarth captured individual championships at the 1981 Minnesota Invitational and the 1982 Susie M. Berning Invitational. Those titles represented the first two tournament victories by a TCU women's golfer.
When TCU won the 1982 Susie M. Berning Invitational with Bozarth the medalist, it marked the first time in program history for the Horned Frogs to sweep the team and individual championships in a tournament.
Bozarth ranks fifth in TCU history with a 75.4 stroke average.
The Southwest Conference Hall of Fame is one of four separate halls of fame sponsored and housed within the Texas Sports Hall of Fame, which also includes the Texas High School Football Hall of Fame and the Texas Tennis Hall of Fame.
Induction ceremonies for Bozarth will take place April 7 in Houston.
