Freshman Brooke Graebe
from Yorba Linda, Calif., sits down for a Q&A session.
Q: Who would be in your ideal foursome?
A: Corey Perry, Jordan Spieth and Annika Clark.
Q: What was your best moment on the course?
A: When I won my first college tournament, the Notre Dame Clover Cup, this past weekend. I felt really confident out there. I had a ton of support from my teammates and my coaches. Both of my parents came out to watch me play, as well.
Q: What does Head Coach Angie Ravaioli-Larkin mean to you?
A: She is more than just a coach to all of us. She is the most supportive coach I know. She's boosted everyone's confidence and talent out there on the course. I call her my second mom. We have a really special relationship.
Q: What is the best part of the TCU program?
A: My teammates. The chemistry we have is just so awesome. It's so fun to be around them all the time. You can't get sick of them.
Q: What is your favorite team tradition?
A: I really like the birdie flaps. So every time we get a birdie, we flap our arms at each other. It builds our team synergy out on the course.
Q: What is playing on your iPhone/iPod right now?
A: Nothing country, that's for sure. I really like EDM music. It's just easy to dance to.
Q: What's your favorite part about TCU?
A: I love everything about TCU. I love the small school feel. I know I'm getting a great education here, and the support I've had here has been amazing.
Q: What made you decide on TCU?
A: I wanted a private education on a small campus. The coaches are amazing. I knew I could thrive in this atmosphere, just with all the support I have around me.
Q: What does your nickname mean?
A: Reese's. My coaches tell me it's because I'm smooth on the outside, but a little nutty on the inside. I also love Reese's. They're my favorite.
Q: When you're not studying or playing golf, what can we find you doing?
A: At the beach, for sure. Being from Southern California, you're always around the water. Or shopping. I love shopping, too.
Q: Who is your inspiration?
A: My parents. They've shaped me so much into the person I am today. I can't thank them enough.
Q: Who is your favorite professional golfer?
A: Jordan Spieth.
Q: If you could play on any course internationally, where would it be?
A: St. Andrews. Playing there would be a once in a lifetime opportunity.
Q: What is your favorite class at TCU?
A: Anything but calculus.
Q: What is your favorite food?
A: Mom's homemade pasta. That's one thing I really do miss. My family makes fun of me because when I'm on break, we eat pasta five days out of the week.
Q: Favorite place you've traveled?
A: In the season, Puerto Rico was really cool and beautiful. Golf takes you to some pretty cool places. I went to Costa Rica with my dad last year, and it kind of reminded me of Puerto Rico.
Q: If you could have a lesson from any golf professional - dead or alive - who would it be?
A: Well, it's interesting, because I never had golf lessons growing up. I never had formal training. My dad was the one who taught me the game. I can say I'm privileged to learn as much as I can from Coach Larkin, so I choose her.
