TCU Women's Golf Learns Its Postseason Destination

FORT WORTH, Texas -- The TCU women's golf team will make its 17th consecutive postseason appearance when it begins play May 10 at the NCAA West Regional in Erie, Colo.
The NCAA announced the complete postseason field Monday night. The 36th-ranked Horned Frogs are the automatic qualifier from the Mountain West after winning its second consecutive league championship.
Eight teams and two individuals at each of the three regional sites advance to the NCAA Division I Women's Golf Championship May 22-25 in Franklin, Tenn. TCU has reached the NCAA Championship in four of the last five seasons.
TCU is seeded 12th in the NCAA West Regional. Joining the Horned Frogs, top seed and defending national champion UCLA and host Colorado in the 24-team regional are LSU, North Carolina, California, Baylor, Pepperdine, UC Davis, Oklahoma, Texas Tech, Tulsa, Iowa State, Stanford, Denver, UNLV, New Mexico, Oregon State, Illinois, Kennesaw State, San Jose State, Missouri State, Northern Colorado and Jackson State.
The streak of 17 consecutive NCAA postseason appearances for the women's golf program ranks second at TCU, behind only the 22 in a row by the Horned Frog men's golf team.
With titles at the Central District Invitational and MW Championship, TCU has won two tournaments for the second straight season.
