Nuutinen Set for NCAA Central Regional

FORT WORTH, Texas -- TCU's Sanna Nuutinen begins play Thursday at the NCAA Women's Golf Central Regional in Stillwater, Okla.

The TCU women's golf program is represented by either its team or an individual in postseason play for the 19th consecutive year.

In order to reach the NCAA Championships on May 20-23 in Tulsa, Okla., Nuutinen will need to be among the top-two finishers not part of one of the eight teams advancing.

Nuutinen's opening round tee time is at 8:25 a.m. at the par 72, 6,200-yard Karsten Creek Golf Club. Live scoring is available at

An All-Big 12 selection, Nuutinen is ranked 82nd nationally by Golfweek.

Nuutinen, the lone senior for the Horned Frogs this season, has a career-best 73.7 stroke average. The Helsinki, Finland, native has seven top-20 finishes, including a pair of top-10 results. She was the only member of the Horned Frogs to play in all 10 tournaments this season.
