FORT WORTH, Texas -- The TCU women’s golf program has announced the addition of Greta Bruner.

A rising sophomore from The Woodlands, Texas, Bruner played in all 11 tournaments as a freshman for Tulsa this season, leading the Golden Hurricane with a 73.9 stroke average and earning American Athletic Conference first-team honors. She had eight top-25 finishes, including seven in the top 15. Bruner won her first collegiate tournament with a 1-over-par 211 at the Dale McNamara Invitational. She totaled two sub-70 rounds on the season.

“We are very excited to add Greta to our Frog Fam,” TCU women’s golf coach Angie Ravaioli-Larkin said. “She will be a tremendous asset and continue to help us be an elite program.

“Greta is not only a great golfer but also comes from a wonderful family. We all look forward to having her as a Horned Frog.”

Bruner was ranked 26th nationally in the 2016 class of junior golfers. She was rated No. 7 in Texas and No. 42 nationally among Golfweek’s top recruits for 2016. She qualified for the U.S. Junior Girls Championship in 2015 and won the Texas Legends Junior Tour Bluebonnet Championship and the Vera Edwards Memorial Invitational. She also placed second at the 2015 AJGA Insperity Invitational and third at the 2015 AJGA Annual Bubba Conlee National Junior Tournament.
