Shin Joins TCU Women's Golf Program

FORT WORTH, Texas -- The TCU women’s golf program has announced the addition of Yeji Shin.
A native of Norwood, N.J., Shin played the last two seasons at Georgia Southern.
“I am excited to add Yeji to our FrogFam,” TCU women’s golf coach Angie Ravaioli-Larkin said. “Yeji is an outstanding student-athlete with a tremendous amount of upside in her game. She will add great depth to our team this upcoming season and is a huge asset to what we are wanting to accomplish both on and off the golf course.”
Shin recorded a pair of top-five finishes for the Eagles this season. She earned Sun Belt Conference Women’s Golfer of the Week honors after tying for fourth in leading Georgia Southern to the team championship at the WKU-Southern Miss Spring Break Shootout. Shin tied for the tournament lead in birdies (10) and par-4 scoring (+2). Shin had a 76.7 stroke average in eight events on the year.
Shin has three career top-10 finishes, including tying for sixth at the 2016 Sun Belt Championship.
On the amateur level, Shin was a two-time winner on the International Junior Golf Tour while also being a New Jersey PGA champion. Additionally, she has two top-five finishes in American Junior Golf Association tournaments. She qualified for the 2014 United States Golf Association Women's Amateur and U.S. Girls Junior as well as the USGA Women’s Public Links. She won the NJSGA Public Links with a 67.
