IRVING, Texas -- The TCU women's golf program had five first-team selections on the 2017 Academic All-Big 12 Team.

Representing the Horned Frogs were Annika Clark, Emmy Martin, Brooke McDougald, Kelly McGovern and Alex Sborov. TCU tied for second in the Big 12 with five first-team honorees.

McGovern was the lone Big 12 women's golfer to record a 4.0 grade-point average. The finance major is headed this fall to the University of Pennsylvania Law School. Her 74.64 career stroke average ranks first in TCU history for those who completed at least three years in the program.

Sborov, TCU's other senior in 2016-17, has secured employment at Nike in Oregon. She was also a finance major.

Martin, a combined sciences major from Odessa, Fla., was All-Big 12 this year as she set a TCU season record with a 72.9 stroke average.

A journalism major from Highlands, Texas, Clark has a 74.62 career stroke average that ranks first all-time at TCU for a player with two completed years.

McDougald is a communication studies major from The Woodlands, Texas. She has a career 75.6 stroke average.
